Heavy-duty Magnet for Steel Pipes
Today we’d like to share a case of the HVR MAG heavy-duty magnet for steel pipes. For structural steel fabrication and construction machinery, a lifting magnet can be a great help.
First, let’s take a look at what the lifting work was like before using the HVR MAG heavy-duty lifting magnet:
Three workers are carefully balancing and lifting the pipe with ropes and steel wires. It takes too much time. Let alone there are safety hazards to the workers and the equipment.
To best suit the working conditions, HVR MAG technicians have the following problems to solve:
1. When transferring round tubes, will the lifting magnet magnetize and lift the round tubes that are next to each other? The customer needed nothing like that happens.
2. Because of the irregular arrangement of steel pipes, is it possible to lift them not from the above direction but from the side? And the pipe should be in a normal state after being lifted.
3. Can the lifting magnet be compatible with pipes with diameters ranging from 80mm to 260mm?
4. We should pay special attention to the surface of some fine-finished round tubes. So can the magnetic pole contact surface be cushioned?
5. Considering that there is a partition in the middle, the lifting beam between lifting points should not interfere with the partition.
HVR MAG heavy-duty magnet for steel pipes:
A.First, we ensure that the magnetic poles between the smallest circle will not touch so that the nearby pipes will not be magnetized and lifted.
B.The magnet pole will touch the highest point of the pipe in the top position. And considering there is a frame near the pipe with interference sometimes, we designed a slide rail on the lifting beam to avoid frame interference.
C. The lifter applies to the pipe diameter of 80mm to 260mm.
D. To avoid scratches, we added a rubber block on the magnetic pole surfaces so that it does not directly contact the pipes. And coincidentally, we also added the coils of the magnetic pole to increase the magnetic force.
E. There is about a 200mm distance between the beam and the contact surface. So this distance can be increased with the slide rail.
